Overland Park Regional Medical Center is currently looking for a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry. Responsibilities: The Charge Nurse is a registered nurse who assumes the role of a professional nurse leader in planning, directing and managing the staff and census to assure quality patient care. The Charge Nurse is responsible for meeting Regulatory Standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing and prioritizing personnel and equipment, and collaborating with physicians and personnel from other departments. Additionally, this professional leader supports the Shared Decision Making model held within Department of Nursing and works collaborative with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure evidenced-based or best practices result in the highest possible achievement of quality outcomes. The Charge Nurse in 636 Telemetry provides care for newborn/pediatric patients between 2 weeks to 11 years of age; adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
