Reference # : 12-xxxx8 Title : Project Controls Associate Location : Overland Park, KS Position Type : Contract Experience Level : Start Date / End Date : 10/08/xxxx / 04/30/xxxx Description Primary Purpose * The Project Controls Associate position is an entry level professional position and will be assigned to either a role in Scheduling or Cost Engineering or a combination. * Under appropriate supervision, the incumbent performs routine project controls assignments according to training, capability and experience. * In addition to performing duties as assigned, this position will be primarily focused on developing knowledge regarding scheduling, costing, and concepts related to the industry technology and project management. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Heavy data management and tracking! * Works in a team ensuring schedule is maintained. Maintains the project Change * Management Program. * Maintains on time delivery reporting under supervision. * Assists in invoicing to owner Scheduling/Planning: Budget & EAC * Assists in schedule fragnet preparation and resource loading. * Assists in critical path analysis. * Prepares and maintains PES reporting. * Assists to schedule updates & forecasts. Minimum Qualifications * Computer skills - Microsoft Ofice and if applicable to assignment Primavera * Understand transformation of data to information - Ability to visualize how data can be transformed into information in the production of project controls reports for use by project teams. * Understand database concepts - Understands or able to learn quickly basic database concepts in order to manage data and information within systems. * 1+ years in planning/scheduling; business systems maintenance, cost engineering, and/or construction management. * Attention to detail is required. * Ability to work a flexible schedule is a plus. ** Preferred Job Qualifications * Scheduling software (i.e. Primavera) knowledge preferred. Telecom deployment experience a plus. * Education: Four year degree in a related field or equivalent experience in other functional areas. **
